  • Experience managing or programming YouTube for other digital networks. 3-5 Years of experience preferred.

Responsibilities
  • Monitor performance on Complex's YouTube channel daily and work in partnership with content groups to optimize and maintain channel health.
  • Collaborate with producers to strategize, develop, and execute long-form videos and shorts in order to maximize views, channel growth, monetization, and other performance goals as established by Complex.
  • Provide and present weekly to bi-weekly reporting to the content teams based on professional insight as well as Complex requested data.
  • Advise on SEO and optimization. Work with the content teams to craft strong titles, descriptions, and thumbnails that help videos get discovered and perform well.
  • Upload videos to YouTube channel (long form and shorts), including programming ad breaks as specified by producers. Must be available for potentially last minute launches that may involve a quick turnaround.
  • Troubleshoot any backend associated with existing libraries and new uploads.
  • Organize Originals content into playlists and find ways to connect videos to boost watch time.
  • Community manage as requested by content teams.
  • Upload videos into JW player for .com.
  • A/B test different thumbnails to see what works best, then share findings with the team.
  • Stay on top of YouTube trends, algorithm updates, and new formats, and pass that info to the development team.
  • Make sure Originals videos follow YouTube’s monetization rules and avoid copyright issues. Also maintaining and alerting leadership to copyright infringement of original content.
  • Participate in programming conversations to help advise on best practices as well as innovate on publishing strategies.
  • Partner with Complex data/analytics teams to create, strategize and monitor performance against goals that align to the larger business content on social and editorial.
