Responsibilities
  • Work with Superintendents to learn management skills and coordinate field construction activities during projects.
  • Help the Superintendent conduct day-to-day operations from the field and occasionally from main or satellite offices for meetings and training.
  • Promote and maintain a safe project site and monitor and enforce the company safety program in accordance with company policies and applicable federal, state, and local laws.
  • Provide operational support during preconstruction, construction, and closeout phases.
  • Coordinate and review field installations for compliance with project documents, applicable requirements, and expected quality standards.
  • Understand contract documents, including drawings, specifications, and addenda.
  • Coordinate submittal and request-for-information responses and document revisions to ensure work follows current documents and directives.
  • Coordinate all trades, including the owner's trades when appropriate, to maintain project schedules and production efficiency.
  • Provide weekly lookahead schedules for use by the Project Manager.
  • Verify that required permits and licenses are obtained and posted on site, and coordinate and direct required inspections.
  • Document project activities using required forms, including daily reports, daily safety reports, and daily quality-control reports, and collect equivalent documentation from subcontractors.
