API Engineering Lead
About the job
- Two to four years of web development experience.
- Experience implementing application programming interfaces and integrating with external services.
- Ability to work with established medium- to large-sized codebases, build new systems, refactor existing code, write tests, and implement new features.
- Ability to explain API architecture to other engineers and solve bottlenecks.
- Ability to take full responsibility and ownership of code, features, and projects.
- Build new systems and features and refactor existing codebases.
- Write tests where code coverage is lacking.
- Connect to external application programming interface services.
- Orchestrate Amazon Web Services Lambda architecture.
- Optimize background processes.
- Explain API architecture to other engineers and resolve bottlenecks.
- DevOps experience.
- Knowledge of Node.js, Ruby on Rails, or Django frameworks.
- Experience with Amazon Web Services Lambda.
- Experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery.
- Passion for travel.
