A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related degree from an ABET-accredited program.
In process of, or ability to obtain, Engineer-in-Training certification.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work in detail-oriented, accommodating, and proactive manner.
Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.
Familiarity with AutoCAD for land development, public works, or facilities projects.
Familiarity with Civil 3D for land development, public works, or facilities projects.
Familiarity with Autodesk Inventor for land development, public works, or facilities projects.
Familiarity with HECRAS for hydrology and hydraulics projects.
Familiarity with XPSWMM for hydrology and hydraulics projects.
Responsibilities
Work in a team environment with other Design Engineers under the direct supervision of a Professional Engineer.
Plan and design a variety of projects and provide construction phase services.
Work with government agencies to obtain construction plans and permit approvals.
Develop engineering construction drawings, technical specifications, and reports.
Coordinate projects between internal departments and stakeholders.
Coordinate agency reviews and approvals.
Coordinate project status updates.
This position will work in a team environment with other Design Engineers and under the direct supervision of a Professional Engineer. The Design Engineer will be responsible for the planning, design, and construction phase services of a variety of projects. They will work with government agencies to obtain construction plans and permit approvals.
