Requirements
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • CPR/BLS certification is required, or certification must be obtained within 90 days of hire.
  • The employee must be able to sit, stand, walk, lift, carry, push, squat, kneel, bend, crouch, reach, hear, and see as specified for the role.
  • The employee must be able to lift and carry objects weighing up to 100 pounds with assistance.
Responsibilities
  • Assist in preparing the clinic to receive patients.
  • Assist the dentist with all procedures requiring four-handed dentistry and record patient data in the electronic medical record system.
  • Clean, sterilize, and maintain operatory equipment and dental instruments.
  • Maintain inventory and submit supply orders to the clinical lead as necessary.
  • Train new dental assistant staff on operations and procedures.
  • Demonstrate competency in patient assessment, treatment range, knowledge of growth and development, and age-appropriate communication.
  • Perform other assigned duties.
Desired Qualifications
  • Pennsylvania x-ray certification.
  • Certification from an accredited dental assisting program.
  • At least one year of hands-on dental assisting experience.
  • Spanish bilingual ability.
