Requirements
  • A Bachelor's degree and one year of relevant experience, or three years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Working knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Experience multitasking in a fast-paced healthcare or medical setting.
  • Ability to work 12-hour shifts, including overnights, holidays, and weekends.
  • Ability to manage conflict.
  • Must live within 60–90 minutes of Waltham, Massachusetts.
  • Must be vaccinated and boosted for COVID-19 to be employed at NEDS.
Responsibilities
  • Answer incoming organ donation referral calls.
  • Screen donors for suitability.
  • Coordinate the logistics of organ recoveries and placement for transplantation.
  • Serve as a hospital's and/or transplant center's first point of contact for organ donation and transplantation.
  • Maintain regular contact with transplant surgeons, transplant coordinators, and other key hospital staff to facilitate the transplant process.
