Requirements
  • The position requires an associate degree or higher in Accounting or a related field.
  • The employee must be available and on time for scheduled work shifts.
  • The employee must have assertive interpersonal communication skills.
  • The employee must have a strong understanding of computer technology.
Responsibilities
  • Identify delinquent accounts.
  • Contact customers with delinquent accounts consistently until each account is resolved.
  • Maintain accurate records of all work performed on an account, including letters, telephone conversations, charges, and payments.
  • Audit accounts to determine the composition of account balances and provide documentation.
  • Recognize and rectify errors made within an account.
  • Research, prepare, and communicate outstanding invoices, letters, or other documentation upon a customer's request within a reasonable time frame.
  • Assist in preparing accounts referred to attorneys for collection.
  • Maintain a courteous demeanor when dealing with customers.
  • Assist with special projects as required.
  • Complete all mandatory and regulatory training programs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Desired Qualifications
  • A bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience in an Accounts Receivable department or collections is preferred but not required.
