Requirements
  • At least 8 years of experience.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
  • Experience using the Linux command-line interface.
  • Ability to write scripts using Bash and Python.
  • Experience managing compute, network, memory, and storage system components.
  • Knowledge of infrastructure-as-code concepts, principles, best practices, and automation tools such as Ansible, SaltStack, and Puppet.
  • In-depth experience troubleshooting large Linux clusters.
  • Familiarity with system monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and Splunk.
  • Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker.
  • Experience administering and monitoring Kubernetes clusters.
  • Experience with Atlassian applications such as Jira and Confluence.
  • Experience with version control systems such as Git.
Responsibilities
  • Drive software integration to optimize software efficiency in production.
  • Install, monitor, and develop software tools to maintain the Agency's high-performance computing infrastructure.
  • Support a platform-as-a-service Linux containerized environment in an on-premises cloud offering.
  • Work with processing-intensive analytics, novel algorithm development, extremely large data sets, real-time systems, business management information systems, data repositories, data transport services, and application and systems development and monitoring.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience using Helm to deploy Kubernetes applications.
  • Experience with GitLab continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines.
  • Familiarity with Site Reliability Engineering principles.
