Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
About the job
- Hold an active, unrestricted license as an advanced practice provider. Nurse Practitioners must hold a compact nursing license and be certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner.
- Have at least five years of independent patient-care practice as an advanced practice provider in a family, primary, or urgent care setting.
- Have experience using digital tools and platforms to deliver virtual care, including urgent virtual visits, chronic-care follow-up, and mental health conversations in a patient-facing care setting.
- Have experience coordinating care plans with physicians and the broader care team.
- Have strong communication and digital literacy skills for connecting with patients and team members in a virtual environment.
- Work four 10-hour days with rotating weekends; the currently available shift is 12 PM to 10 PM Mountain Time.
- Live in Arizona, Colorado, Florida, Ohio, or Texas.
- Ask thoughtful questions over video or secure chat to understand underlying causes of illness, injury, or medical conditions.
- Use clinical expertise, patient history, and remote diagnostic tools to make accurate assessments in a virtual setting.
- Order, interpret, and follow up on lab tests, using digital platforms to personalize and coordinate each patient's care plan.
- Write prescriptions electronically and explain their proper use, administration, and possible side effects through virtual or written communication.
- Work closely with physicians, fellow advanced practice providers, and the extended care team to deliver coordinated care.
- Respond to emerging challenges with creative, patient-centered solutions adapted to virtual care.
- Bilingual ability in English and Spanish.
