Requirements
  • Admission to practice law and good standing in Pennsylvania.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize a large caseload.
  • Ability to communicate in a common language with individuals or groups verbally or in writing.
  • Ability to operate a computer, phone, or equivalent device.
  • Ability to complete a minimum 40-hour flexible workweek schedule.
  • Ability to read and comprehend position-specific documents and correspondence.
  • Ability to lift five pounds or greater.

Responsibilities
  • Communicate effectively and appropriately with team members and outside parties.
  • Draft, review, and file legal pleadings, motions, and discovery for active litigation files.
  • Review litigation case files and pleadings to determine appropriate action.
  • Advocate for client interests in various litigation settings.
  • Use internal proprietary software to update and document the status of each account in the assigned inventory.
  • Analyze and process litigation inventory reports and litigation files as assigned by the Managing Attorney to ensure proper litigation workflow according to firm and client expectations.
  • Comply with all client and firm standard operating procedures.
  • Travel to various courtrooms within the branch office footprint as required.
  • Prepare for and represent clients at hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials, including case strategy development, drafting pleadings, conducting discovery, and presenting oral arguments.
  • Negotiate settlements with consumers and their legal representatives to resolve disputes while protecting client interests.
  • Evaluate case merits, assess risk exposure, and provide strategic legal recommendations.
  • Maintain compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and court procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Desired Qualifications
  • At least one year of litigation or trial experience.
  • Working knowledge of civil procedure.
  • Debt collection experience.
  • Prior experience in a high-volume environment.
