Senior Accountant @ ActiveCampaign

Salary Range: 84000 to 115500 (Currency: USD) (Pay period: per-year-salary)

Reporting to the Manager of Technical Accounting, the Senior Accountant - G&A will be a key contributor to the accounting team. In this role your responsibilities will include month-end close for technical areas of accounting, financial reporting and assistance with conducting research and concluding on technical accounting matters that impact the business. The ideal candidate is a self-starter, a great communicator, and enjoys collaborating with people with a diverse set of talents in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

What your day could consist of:

Responsible for month-end close processes for various complex accounting such as capitalized software development cost and stock-based compensation
Preparation of monthly financial statements and analyses
Assist in drafting quarterly and annual U.S. GAAP consolidated financial statements, related disclosures, and supporting analyses/schedules for our global organization.
Research accounting literature and prepare position papers for technical accounting areas
Work with external auditors and subject matter experts on the timely resolution of technical accounting matters
Assist team with special projects as needed

What is needed:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required, CPA or progress towards CPA required
3+ years of experience in accounting-related work (Big 4 public accounting preferred)
Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and experience researching technical accounting topics, financial reporting experience a significant plus
Experience with international consolidations, balance sheet reconciliations, and translations, including foreign currency accounting issues, a significant plus
Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with employees at all levels of the organization and manage relationships with external parties
Intermediate to advanced level experience with Microsoft Excel
General understanding of Sage Intacct or other comparable ERP systems is preferred
