Requirements
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • A minimum of 8 years of civil construction management and/or craft supervision experience in similar facility construction is required.
  • Thorough knowledge of all aspects of civil construction, including technology, equipment, methods, engineering, cost control schedules, and safety is required.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Bluebeam is required.
  • A valid driver's license and position-required endorsements must be maintained.
  • The candidate must be able to complete and maintain required safety certification and testing annually.
  • The candidate must pass a pre-employment background check and motor vehicle report review.
  • The candidate must pass a pre-employment physical, medical evaluation, and drug screen due to the safety-sensitive nature of the position.
  • The candidate must be able to exert up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, walk on uneven surfaces, occasionally ascend and descend ladders or stairs, sit and stand for extended periods, and regularly kneel, bend, and squat.
  • The candidate must pass color and vision examinations as required, hear and distinguish required auditory signals, work in loud conditions around heavy or moving machinery, and work outdoors in all weather conditions.
Responsibilities
  • Collaborate frequently with the project team, client representatives, utility companies, and subcontractors.
  • Plan, coordinate, supervise, forecast, and take responsibility for onsite production functions, including maintaining the schedule; verifying compliance; and managing engineering, budget, equipment needs, and material and equipment control.
  • Provide technical assistance by interpreting drawings and recommending construction methods and equipment as required.
  • Assist project management in developing and implementing project procedures, working documents, specifications, and standards.
  • Coordinate project closeout activities in line with project standards and Owner checklist requirements.
  • Supervise onsite personnel to ensure they comply with project procedures, safety program requirements, work rules, and environmental compliance; document violations, notify project management, and recommend or implement corrective actions as required.
  • Engage in, participate in, and promote Herzog's culture and essential behaviors.
  • Maintain regular and predictable attendance and punctuality.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Report safety violations to the immediate supervisor and adhere to established safety policies and procedures.
Desired Qualifications
  • A degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering is preferred.
