What We Need:
As the Vice President of Clinical Programs and Quality Assurance at Synapse Health, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the development, implementation, and management of clinical programs while ensuring compliance with regulatory, accreditation, and quality standards. Reporting to the Chief Operations Officer (COO), you will lead cross-functional teams, drive strategic planning, and execute process improvements to meet organizational goals. This role isV key to enhancing clinical initiatives, managing operational excellence, and supporting our mission of delivering innovative durable medical equipment solutions that improve patient outcomes.
What You Will Do:
- Oversee clinical operations, including process optimization, resource utilization, and the development of patient education materials. Ensure that clinical procedures are continuously updated and in line with industry standards.
- Analyze clinical data to support decision-making and performance monitoring. Drive strategic initiatives and develop processes that ensure Synapse Health meets patient-centered goals and quality benchmarks.
- Lead the development and operationalization of clinical strategies for programs that align with Synapse Health’s goals and objectives.
- Develop and oversee clinical policies related to DME qualification criteria, delivery, installation, and education. Ensure all staff are trained in proper DME equipment usage.
- Ensure full compliance with regulatory, HIPAA, FDA, and accreditation standards. Ensure quality delivery of services is available 24/7 and collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve any operational issues.
- Maintain strong relationships with healthcare professionals, regulatory bodies, and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth delivery of clinical services.
- Develop and manage the clinical program budget, monitor financial KPIs, and implement action plans to remain within budget while improving quality outcomes.
- Engage in community education and outreach activities to strengthen the Synapse Health brand and promote awareness of DME-related services.
- Develop and maintain a strong culture of continuous improvement within the clinical team, driving innovations that enhance service delivery and patient care outcomes.
What You Have:

- Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Nursing, Public Health, or a related field; an advanced degree (Master’s or Doctorate) is preferred, demonstrating a commitment to academic excellence and a deep understanding of healthcare systems.
- Over 10 years of progressive experience in clinical program management and quality assurance within the healthcare or durable medical equipment sectors, showcasing a robust background in leading and optimizing clinical operations.
- Proven leadership experience with a successful track record of driving clinical and quality initiatives that enhance patient outcomes, improve operational efficiency, and align with organizational goals. Demonstrated ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams.
- Extensive knowledge of regulatory requirements and quality management systems in healthcare, including compliance with standards set by organizations such as The Joint Commission, CMS, and FDA. Proven ability to navigate complex regulatory landscapes effectively.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and build rapport with diverse stakeholders, including clinical staff, senior leadership, and external partners. Skilled in delivering presentations and facilitating discussions that drive consensus.
- Strong ability to analyze complex data sets and translate findings into actionable strategies that inform clinical practices and improve quality metrics. Experience with data visualization tools and methodologies to enhance reporting and decision-making.
- Highly organized with a proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail and quality. Effective at developing and implementing processes that enhance operational workflows.
