  • A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Must be able to operate and understand Trimble equipment.
  • Must be capable of working in the field and performing field tasks when required.
  • Demonstrated high-level MEP system knowledge, construction techniques, and spatial awareness is required.
  • Knowledge of Trimble total stations and their capabilities is required.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents is required.
  • Ability to write routine daily reports and correspondence is required.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization is required.
  • Ability to construct informative and organized emails is required.
  • Ability to interpret written, oral, diagrammatic, and schedule-based instructions is required.
  • Ability to learn and adapt as technology progresses is required.
  • Ability to apply fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations is required.
  • Ability to perform 3D scans using Trimble is required.
  • Must occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift or move heavier items up to 100 pounds.
  • Must be able to stand for 8 to 10 hours per day and climb ladders or stairs.
  • Must be able to work around moving mechanical parts, electrical-shock risks, high or precarious places, outdoor weather conditions, and vibration.
Responsibilities
  • Act as a key technical and implementation resource for Trimble on assigned projects.
  • Maintain effective relationships with design, project, and client teams.
  • Provide guidance to Superintendents and Project Managers on the field location of pipe systems, hangers, sleeves, underground piping, and related construction elements.
  • Operate Trimble total station equipment.
  • Understand and apply job specifications, schedules, and construction sequencing.
  • Perform computer-aided drafting and design work, including placing Trimble points when required.
  • Keep the Trimble Manager informed about site activities.
  • Maintain and file all jobs in organized folders.
  • Provide as-built points and DWG files to the coordination team.
  • Provide Superintendents with field locations of designated points.
  • Use knowledge of machines, engineering practices, mathematics, building materials, and physical sciences to complete drawings.
  • Make necessary or requested adjustments and changes.
  • Use computer-aided drafting and design equipment and software, including Revit and AutoCAD MEP.
  • Perform field tasks as required.
