Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree is required; a concentration in computer science, software engineering, mathematics, physics, data science, or a related technical field is preferred.
  • At least 5 years of relevant hands-on engineering experience is required.
  • At least 3 years of hands-on experience implementing, configuring, or supporting a leading commercial treasury management system such as Hazeltree, Kyriba, or GTreasury in production is required.
  • Strong experience designing and building integrations between enterprise systems using REST APIs and SFTP, ideally connecting a treasury management system to banks, accounting systems, custodians, or fund administrators.
  • Hands-on experience with SWIFT bank-connectivity message types (MT 940, MT 942, MT 101, MT 103, MT 202 and equivalent ISO 20022 pain, camt, or pacs messages), service bureaus or SWIFT Alliance, and end-to-end payment and statement flows is required.
  • Strong SQL and data-modeling skills, experience handling transactional and time-series data at scale, and experience building production reporting and dashboards in Power BI, Tableau, or comparable business intelligence tools.
  • Strong coding fundamentals in Python or another general-purpose language, with hands-on experience deploying and operating workloads on AWS or Azure.
  • Working knowledge of treasury operations, including cash management and forecasting, liquidity, payments (wire, ACH, and FX), bank account management, and intercompany flows, sufficient to communicate with Treasury and Finance stakeholders and translate their requirements into system configuration and integrations.
  • Experience working directly with business users to scope and ship software in regulated, high-stakes financial-services environments with auditable controls, change management, and SOC/SOX considerations.
  • Experience working with and managing offshore engineering or operations contractors as part of an extended delivery team.
  • Production support experience for business-critical systems, including incident triage, root cause analysis, monitoring and alerting, on-call rotations, and disciplined change and release management where downtime or errors have direct business impact.
  • The preferred qualifications include a concentration in computer science, software engineering, mathematics, physics, data science, or a related technical field, and a master's degree.
Responsibilities
  • Partner with Treasury, Finance, and operations stakeholders to translate cash-management, liquidity, and payments requirements into configured, integrated treasury management system functionality.
  • Own assigned workstreams of the AlpInvest treasury management system implementation, including configuration, integrations, data migration, testing, cutover, and adoption, in partnership with the manager, vendor team, and offshore contributors.
  • Design and build integrations between the treasury management system and Carlyle’s broader ecosystem, including banks (REST APIs, SFTP, and ISO 20022 messaging), accounting systems, custodians, fund administrators, and downstream reporting and data platforms.
  • Build treasury reporting and dashboards for cash positions, liquidity, forecasts, payment status, and exception monitoring using Power BI, Tableau, or the platform’s native reporting layer.
  • Extend the platform to support additional business segments and Corporate Treasury use cases as its footprint grows.
  • Deliver scoped work quickly and harden it through real-world use.
  • Own day-to-day reliability of the treasury management system and its integrations through monitoring, alerting, issue triage, root cause analysis, and incremental hardening.
  • Provide hands-on support to Finance and Treasury end users by investigating questions, resolving data and configuration issues, and improving the system based on actual usage.
  • Manage and review work performed by offshore engineering and operations contractors, set expectations, review deliverables, and raise the technical bar across the extended team.
  • Partner with infrastructure, data, and security teams to ensure the treasury management system and integrations meet enterprise standards for observability, controls, audit, and SOC requirements.
  • Document configurations, integrations, runbooks, and known issues so the platform remains operable as the team grows and use cases expand.
  • Stay current on treasury management system vendor roadmaps, treasury technology trends, and adjacent tooling, and bring promising capabilities to the manager and team for evaluation.
Desired Qualifications
  • Python is preferred as the general-purpose programming language.
  • Master's degree is preferred.
  • The anticipated role may be supported by a comparable commercial treasury management system or comparable business intelligence tools.
