Application Analyst

About the job
- Mastery of scheduling tools including Control-M, VTOM, and Dollar U.
- Mastery of monitoring tools including Centreon and Datadog.
- Scripting proficiency in Shell, Bash, PowerShell, Python, PHP, and Perl.
- Solid general technical foundations in Linux, Windows, databases, and SQL.
- Good understanding of IT service management tools and ITIL best practices.
- Ability to read and understand logs.
- Professional fluency in written and spoken English.
- At least six years of experience in a similar application operations role involving maintaining applications in operational condition.
- Maintain operational conditions for a portfolio of SaaS or on-premise applications.
- Supervise application operation and process alerts.
- Manage technical incidents through analysis, diagnosis, and resolution.
- Provide level-two application support.
- Guide and support level-one teams based in Mauritius and Vietnam.
- Manage level-two incidents and contribute to durable resolution.
- Analyze incident patterns, including recurrence, root causes, and trends.
- Propose and implement corrective and preventive actions to reduce incident volumes.
- Contribute to an incident and problem management approach focused on continuous improvement.
- Define and track key performance indicators aimed at reducing on-call activations.
- Monitor service-level agreements and prioritize urgent issues.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of run processes.
- Participate in integrating application enhancements.
- Contribute to testing phases and production deployments.
- Coordinate minor technical maintenance interventions in run mode.
- Keep operational documentation, runbooks, procedures, and reference materials up to date.
- Participate in technical committees.
- Act as the primary technical contact for clients and internal teams.
- Escalate improvement and enhancement needs.
