Requirements

  • Have basic chemical production experience and understand fluid operation and drying techniques used in chemical production.
  • Have basic knowledge of automation control.
  • Maintain a strong awareness of workplace cleanliness and a firm understanding of safe production.
  • Have the psychological resilience and adaptability to respond to chemical production incidents.
  • Have basic firefighting knowledge for oil, gas, electrical, and solid-material fires, including carbon black fires.
  • Have experience operating boiler and fire-control systems.
  • A post-secondary diploma or higher in a petroleum- or chemical-related field is preferred; applicants without a post-secondary diploma must have at least two years of chemical operations experience.
  • Participate in rotating shifts, including night shifts.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and control plant production operations from the central control room through the distributed control system, covering the propylene storage area, carbon nanotube production line, and silos, and keep field operations consistent with control-room operations.
  • Monitor the operating status of subsystems including the propylene storage area, reactor system, powder conveying system, purification system, and slurry system; adjust relevant process parameters in a timely manner to meet safety and quality requirements and maintain normal production.
  • Pay close attention to critical equipment and technical parameters, promptly report abnormalities to the shift leader and engineers for necessary adjustments, and obtain prior approval for adjustments beyond the role’s authority.
  • Monitor process parameters during routine equipment operation and coordinate with field operators and maintenance personnel.
  • Record data for daily and periodic work, assist the shift leader in organizing production, and keep the assigned area clean.
  • Follow operating adjustments issued by engineers and supervisors, and communicate them clearly during shift handovers.
  • Assist engineers and production shift leaders in analyzing and resolving incidents.
  • Follow standard operating procedures.
  • Coordinate personnel across workshops to advance production plans and collect and relay daily production, equipment-department, and process-operation information to relevant personnel.
  • Follow company safety, health, and environmental policies and procedures; improve safety awareness and hazard-identification capability; and comply with ISO 9000, ISO 14001, and RC14001 requirements.
  • Follow company safety rules, including employee and management-team safety responsibilities and safety, health, and environmental requirements; promptly report identified hazards.
  • Spend the first six months learning all processes as a field operator and, after passing an assessment, transition to the CCR position.
