Fire Safety Service Field Engineer/Technician
About the job
- Proficient knowledge of fire systems, common electrical instruments and their usage, local and wide area networking, and life safety and security codes and standards.
- Associate’s degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Final candidates must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen and background investigation, including criminal and motor vehicle checks.
- Able to work overtime and weekends as required.
- Program and troubleshoot fire alarm systems.
- Service products and equipment on assigned projects and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Identify, analyze, diagnose, and repair systems and products at customer locations.
- Perform preventative maintenance, site surveys, replacements, and modifications as needed or requested by customers.
- Use hand tools to mount, assemble, test, and program systems.
- Document work by completing paperwork on each job and maintaining files.
- Provide technical support to customers.
