Requirements
  • U.S. citizenship and an active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph are required.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline focused on digital signal processing algorithms from an accredited college or university is required; four additional years of equivalent experience may substitute for the bachelor's degree.
  • A Master of Science in Engineering or Computer Science may substitute for two years of required experience.
  • At least 7 years of experience as a digital signal processing algorithm developer on projects involving similar software development processes is required.
  • At least 7 years of experience with C++, Linux, Python, or similar development technologies is required.
  • Formal training in or demonstrated proficiency with C++ and Linux is required.
  • Demonstrated experience designing and implementing digital signal processing algorithms in software is required.
  • Experience developing algorithms for high-throughput signal exploitation is required.
  • Experience with signal-processing techniques involving low signal-to-noise ratio signals, higher-order modulation, or adaptive modulation is required.
  • Experience developing or supporting radio frequency software or equivalent signal-processing applications is required.
  • Experience modifying and integrating existing software and/or firmware is required.
  • Ability to communicate complex digital signal processing algorithms and mathematical models clearly to other technical team members is required.
Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, implement, test, and optimize digital signal processing algorithms in software.
  • Develop algorithms supporting high-throughput signal exploitation and processing.
  • Develop signal-processing solutions for complex signal environments, including low signal-to-noise ratio, higher-order modulation, and adaptive modulation.
  • Develop and maintain digital signal processing and radio-frequency-related software using C++, Python, Linux, or similar development technologies.
  • Translate digital signal processing concepts and mathematical models into operational software implementations.
  • Modify existing software and firmware to meet specialized government requirements.
  • Adapt and integrate commercial off-the-shelf and government off-the-shelf products.
  • Develop models and algorithms for processing and exploiting signals of interest.
  • Analyze and optimize algorithms for performance, throughput, efficiency, and accuracy.
  • Support integration of developed algorithms into larger radio-frequency and signal-processing systems.
  • Troubleshoot software, firmware, digital signal processing, and algorithm-related performance issues.
  • Document developed algorithms, models, processing techniques, and technical approaches.
  • Provide concise technical explanations of developed models and algorithms so other team members can understand, maintain, and use them.
  • Collaborate with software engineers, radio-frequency engineers, systems engineers, and other technical team members throughout the development lifecycle.
