Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field is required.
  • At least 15 years of progressive financial management experience, including significant experience supporting a Federal Government contractor, is required.
  • Demonstrated expertise in financial management of government contracts and contract-level financial performance is required.
  • Strong understanding of fringe benefit and labor-related costs, including requirements applicable to Service Contract Act and Collective Bargaining Agreement or union workforces, is required.
  • Strong working knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulations and Federal contracting principles is required.
  • Ability to partner effectively with C-suite and executive leadership and influence business decisions is required.
  • Strong analytical, financial modeling, forecasting, and problem-solving skills are required.
  • Excellent written, verbal, communication, and interpersonal skills are required.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, growing organization is required.
  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with detailed financial execution is required.
  • Working knowledge of Costpoint ERP and Cognos is required or preferred according to the posting.
Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic financial guidance and decision support to the Group President and executive leadership team.
  • Oversee financial performance across the Group's contracts and operating companies.
  • Lead and develop finance and project-controls personnel by establishing priorities, accountability, and performance expectations.
  • Manage the Group's annual budgeting process.
  • Oversee the month-end close process and ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Provide oversight of revenue recognition and ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards.
  • Prepare and analyze financial reports, forecasts, and key performance indicators.
  • Review and challenge Estimate at Completion projections to assess contract performance, risks, and profitability.
  • Develop strategies to optimize cash flow, working capital, and Days Sales Outstanding.
  • Perform investment and business-case analyses to support strategic decision-making.
  • Lead quarterly business reviews and provide analysis of financial and operational performance.
  • Support forward-pricing activities and financial analysis for new business proposals.
  • Assist in managing indirect headcount, bid and proposal costs, and other indirect expenses.
  • Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, controls, reporting, and overall business performance.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable Federal Acquisition Regulations, company policies, and internal controls.
Desired Qualifications
  • An MBA is preferred.
  • CPA certification is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Costpoint ERP and Cognos is preferred.
