  • At least 3 years of experience in Quality Assurance within a digital agency, software development, or e-commerce environment.
  • Experience testing complex web applications, ideally Shopify Plus or other modern e-commerce platforms, including API integrations, third-party applications, payment gateways, and enterprise resource planning or order management system integrations.
  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycles, Agile delivery methodologies, and sprint-based development workflows.
  • Proven experience creating and executing comprehensive test plans, test cases, and regression testing strategies.
  • Hands-on experience with functional, regression, smoke, sanity, integration, cross-browser, cross-device, and accessibility testing.
  • Familiarity with accessibility standards and best practices, including Web Content Accessibility Guidelines.
  • Comfort working within staging, quality assurance, and production environments and understanding deployment and release workflows.
  • Experience using defect-tracking and project-management tools such as Jira, ClickUp, Linear, or similar platforms.
  • Ability to interpret business requirements and translate them into clear, testable acceptance criteria.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to clearly document issues and communicate risk to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced agency environment.
  • A proactive approach with ownership, accountability, and commitment to delivering high-quality client experiences.
Responsibilities
  • Define the overall test strategy for each engagement based on project scope, complexity, and risk profile.
  • Create comprehensive test plans covering testing phases, scope, timelines, entry and exit criteria, and resource requirements.
  • Apply risk-based testing to prioritize effort toward high-impact areas and maximize coverage within delivery timelines.
  • Own test-environment readiness by verifying configuration, feature flags, and production-aligned settings, and coordinate with engineering to resolve infrastructure dependencies such as continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines and data seeding.
  • Write, maintain, version, organize, and reuse test cases across projects and sprints.
  • Execute quality assurance testing from feature-level validation through end-to-end integration testing.
  • Conduct sanity testing after deployments and code changes to confirm critical functionality before broader test cycles.
  • Perform smoke testing before and after deployment to validate build stability.
  • Execute regression testing to confirm that changes have not introduced defects into existing functionality.
  • Perform cross-browser and cross-device testing across supported platforms and screen sizes.
  • Perform accessibility testing to verify compliance with accessibility standards and inclusive design requirements.
  • Review wireframes and high-fidelity mockups to identify issues early.
  • Plan and execute performance testing, including page-load times and basic throughput validation.
  • Track and manage bugs through identification, resolution, and verification.
  • Triage and report defects with severity classifications, reproduction steps, and supporting evidence.
  • Monitor and report defect rates and establish metrics to inform project quality assessments and process improvement.
  • Produce test-coverage reports showing tested areas, current coverage, and outstanding risk.
  • Maintain quality assurance documentation and reporting covering test outcomes, known issues, and quality metrics.
  • Provide sprint quality assurance sign-off before deliverables progress.
  • Enforce the Definition of Done and quality gates before work is marked complete.
  • Own and execute the go-live quality assurance checklist before production deployment.
  • Conduct post-launch validation in production, accounting for DNS, content delivery network, live payment gateways, and third-party integrations.
  • Partner with Business Analysts to validate acceptance criteria and ensure requirements are testable, unambiguous, and covered by quality assurance.
  • Participate in design and architecture reviews to identify quality and testability risks before implementation.
  • Partner with the Engineering Lead on release readiness, timing, dependencies, risk assessment, and go-live validation.
  • Coordinate execution of the go-live quality assurance checklist with the delivery pod.
  • Support performance testing with the Systems Architect and coordinate with engineering on load-testing tooling and infrastructure-level performance engineering.
Desired Qualifications
  • Exposure to performance-testing tools and methodologies.
  • Experience with test-automation frameworks or automation tooling.

Simplify's Take

What believers are saying

  • BDC financing on July 29, 2025 funds product expansion and international sales.
  • R6B partnership announced August 20, 2025 opens Japan B2B Shopify demand.
  • SOC 2 Type II and 100-plus delivery staff support larger enterprise wins in 2026.

What critics are saying

  • Teifi depends on Shopify platform rules; a product priority shift can break WorkMate economics.
  • WorkMate targets bike shops, a narrow vertical that limits growth if adoption stalls by 2027.
  • Teifi sells consulting and software together, so founder-led execution risk stays high despite BDC financing.

What makes Teifi Digital unique

  • Teifi owns WorkMate, embedding bike-shop service workflows directly inside Shopify POS.
  • Teifi Bridge connects Shopify with ERP, OMS, accounting, and tax systems.
  • Teifi holds Shopify Platinum Partner status and SOC 2 Type II, signed July 2, 2026.
