Responsibilities
  • Provide patient care in intensive care units, cardiac care units, or cardiac catheterization labs until discharge.
  • Acquire and maintain patient records, update patient charts, and conduct needs assessments.
  • Organize patients for medical procedures and monitor their vital signs.
  • Operate treatment equipment and administer intravenous therapy.
  • Administer medications according to physician instructions.
  • Conduct and participate in cardiac-specific research projects.
  • Educate other healthcare professionals about cardiac catheterization.
