Requirements
  • 5-7 years' experience designing, implementing, managing, and supporting IP networks.
  • Extensive technical knowledge of current network hardware, protocols, and Internet standards, including routers, switches (layer 2/3), firewalls, remote access, DNS, BGP, OSPF, VLAN, VRF, QoS, and VPN
  • Experience with COMSEC and HAIPE Complaint In-line type-1 network encryptors
  • Experience with vendor agnostic network switching, wireless, and routing
  • Working knowledge of DISA security STIGs and maintaining security best practices
  • Extensive application support experience with network monitoring and analysis software
  • Experience with network automation tools and processes.
  • Excellent troubleshooting experience.
  • Strong documentation and communication skills - both written and verbal
  • Ability to travel for remote deployments when required
  • Must possess and be able to maintain a U.S. Security clearance (Secret, Top Secret, TS with SCI)
Responsibilities
  • Own the networking solutions that are deployed to customers
  • Integrate with legacy systems to unlock 21st-century capabilities
  • Design and implement network solutions and/or improve the efficiency of current networks
  • Install, configure, and support network equipment including routers, switches, firewalls, proxy servers to ensure highly available network operations
  • Routinely audit security policies and protocols for routers, switches, and firewalls
  • Provide regular on-call support of the network.
  • Update and manage documentation of the network topology, infrastructure services, cabling diagrams, IP address allocations, IP routing/switching, etc.
  • Maximizing network performance through ongoing monitoring and troubleshooting
  • Work with the team to schedule network upgrades on operationally deployed infrastructure
  • Create and analyze metrics that are leveraged for debugging and monitoring
  • Triage issues, root cause failures, and coordinate next-steps
  • Empathize with end-users to turn needs into features while balancing user experience with engineering constraints
  • Updating network equipment to the latest firmware releases
  • Travel up to 50% of time to build, test, and deploy capabilities in CONUS and OCONUS locations
