The Opportunity: Financial Analyst - FP&A
As a Financial Analyst focused on Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) at Flip, you’ll play a pivotal role in driving financial insights and helping shape our growth strategy. Reporting to and working closely with the Chief Business Officer and the broader Finance team, you’ll support financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis to enable data-driven decision-making across the company. This is an excellent opportunity for an analytically-minded finance professional to make an impact on our fast-growing company. The role is office based in Los Angeles (El Segundo) with a start date as early as possible.
Compensation: $100,000 - $120,000 base salary + equity
What You’ll Do
- Financial Planning & Forecasting: Support monthly, quarterly, and annual budgeting and forecasting processes, providing insights to guide business decisions and achieve financial targets.
- Financial Modeling: Build and maintain detailed financial models to project revenue, expenses, and cash flow; analyze different scenarios to support strategic decision-making.
- Management Reporting: Prepare and deliver monthly and quarterly financial reports for leadership and stakeholders, including variance analysis and commentary on performance.
- Business Insights & Analysis: Work with other functions at the company to analyze KPIs, profitability, and other financial metrics to identify trends and improve efficiency.
- Special Projects & Ad Hoc Analysis: Assist in special projects, including market analysis, competitive benchmarking, and financial assessments of new initiatives and opportunities.
What You’ll Bring
- 3+ Years of Experience: At least 3 years in investment banking, with private equity (PE) or venture capital (VC) experience as a strong plus.
- Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial modeling; experience with financial planning tools and ERP systems is a plus.
- Analytical Prowess: Strong analytical skills with the ability to turn complex financial data into clear, actionable insights for senior leadership.
- Attention to Detail: Highly detail-oriented, with a track record of accuracy and a methodical approach to problem-solving.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of presenting complex information effectively to both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
- Self-Starter with Drive: A proactive approach with the ability to take initiative, prioritize tasks, and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
