How SLR helps Boehringer Ingelheim on energy savings goals.

How SLR helps Boehringer Ingelheim on energy savings goals. October 12, 2026 Bradley Andrews, CEO of SLR, outlines the partnership with Boehringer Ingelheim to reduce emissions at pharmaceutical sites Boehringer Ingelheim and SLR Consulting have launched a global Energy & Infrastructure Transformation Programme to develop operational plans for transforming energy systems at the pharmaceutical company's production and innovation sites. The collaboration supports Boehringer Ingelheim's More Green Programme, which aims to reduce Scope 1 and Scope 2 greenhouse gas emissions by 58.9% by 2030, from a 2019 baseline. The transformation programme combines SLR's engineering and implementation expertise with techno-economic modelling and digital twins. It combines cost optimisation, supply security and environmental sustainability into a single site assessment model. "Our partnership with Boehringer Ingelheim reflects our commitment to practical, scalable actions that create economic value, strengthen energy resilience and reduce emissions," says Bradley Andrews, CEO of SLR. This approach identifies immediate operational changes and establishes phased implementation roadmaps through 2030. Digital twins to drive transformation. Each assessment starts with a review of current energy assets, operating conditions, demand profiles, site infrastructure constraints and ongoing development projects. SLR works with teams across Boehringer Ingelheim to create site-specific digital twins supported by RIZM Energy. These digital models assess alternative technologies and energy procurement strategies by modelling technical assumptions, energy and carbon prices, operational parameters, supply-security needs and Scope 1 and 2 emissions over a 25-year period. "Combining our technical expertise with digital twins helps us turn complex investment and operating choices into implementable plans " Bradley AndrewsCEO, SLR Consulting Assessing each site as an integrated energy system, the framework identifies optimal investment paths and defines the operational thresholds required for long-term viability. Local teams jointly develop and continuously validate these models using operational data. "The programme gives us a structured view of the options available to each site and the actions we can take today," says Michael Worf, Senior Global Technical Manager Energy & Infrastructure at Boehringer Ingelheim. "The work completed so far shows that cost optimisation, security of supply and sustainability can be aligned, providing a practical basis for steering investments and supporting its 2030 Scope 1 and 2 emissions-reduction targets. "It is already delivering value and helping us move from analysis into implementation." Key operational outcomes delivered: * Technical validation of existing infrastructure assets, operating demand profiles and site constraints. * Delivery of site-specific investment roadmaps aligned with 2030 Scope 1 and 2 decarbonisation targets. * Recalculation capabilities for scenario modelling to adapt to shifting market conditions and technical parameters. * Operational frameworks for live asset steering, portfolio-level planning and energy procurement optimisation. Strategic impact and future portfolio scaling. Amid volatile global energy markets and supply uncertainty, the structured assessment process gives the decision-makers clear evidence to guide capital allocation. As models update to reflect changing energy prices, sites can identify immediate, low-risk optimisation steps and adjust long-term capital deployment. "Combining our technical expertise with digital twins helps us turn complex investment and operating choices into implementable plans," says Bradley. "Our global reach and local expertise allow us to work closely with site teams, reflect operational realities and support delivery, with further opportunities as the programme expands into operational optimisation and portfolio planning." The programme establishes a foundation for operational performance analysis, improved energy procurement and live asset management. As more locations are assessed, the initiative connects individual site actions to broader portfolio planning, investment strategies and corporate decarbonisation goals. The global rollout will continue across all key Boehringer Ingelheim sites and conclude in mid-2027. Company Portals

Abitibi Metals announces initial recoveries at B26 of 98.2% copper in metallurgical testwork. August 19, 2026 By Abitibi Metals Corp. Toronto, Ontario-(Newsfile Corp. - August 19, 2026) - Abitibi Metals Corp. (CSE: AMQ) (OTCQB: AMQFF) (FSE: FW0) ("Abitibi" or the "Company") is pleased to announce initial results from the ongoing metallurgical development program for the B26 Polymetallic Deposit, being completed by SLR Consulting. This work is being conducted in parallel with the current B26 and Regional exploration program targeting 40,000m, where Abitibi currently has 3 drill rigs actively drilling on the project. Highlights include: * EXCELLENT COPPER ZONE RECOVERIES - Flotation recovery of 98.2% copper to a saleable rougher concentrate product. * ATTRACTIVE ROUGHER CONCENTRATE GRADES - Desirable rougher concentrate grades of 23.7% Copper achieved using laboratory scale equipment. * SIMPLE FLOWSHEET - The rapid flotation kinetics noted for the copper zone sample point to low residence time requirements, suggesting a very simple flotation circuit design. * COARSE GRINDING REQUIREMENT - these excellent results were achieved after a primary grind of 80% -150 * REMAINING ELEMENTS (AU-AG-ZN) - Initial Gold and Silver recoveries are in line with previous test work and are undergoing additional optimization work. Zinc zone flotation test work is also ongoing, with cleaner and locked cycle test work to be completed in the coming weeks. "One of the most encouraging aspects of this program is that SLR Consulting has independently confirmed the excellent metallurgical performance of the B26 deposit using a significantly larger and more representative Cu-Zone composite than was available during earlier studies. These initial results demonstrate excellent copper recovery, rapid flotation kinetics and the production of a high-quality rougher copper concentrate, further increasing our confidence in the B26 project as we advance toward the Preliminary Economic Assessment," commented Dave Bernier, Abitibi's COO. "While additional optimization work remains underway, including cleaner and locked-cycle testing and evaluation of the zinc flotation, these early results continue to de-risk the project and reinforce our belief that B26 possesses the metallurgical characteristics expected of a high-quality VMS development project." The metallurgical test work program currently underway at SLR Consulting independently confirms the excellent metallurgical performance demonstrated during earlier testing, while utilizing significantly larger and more representative composite samples collected from across the B26 deposit. The metallurgical development program is ongoing and will continue to evaluate and refine the processing flowsheet, including mineralogical characterization, batch cleaner and locked-cycle flotation testing, full assessment of final concentrate marketability, and integration of the zinc-rich mineralization into the overall process design. The final results will be incorporated into the upcoming Preliminary Economic Assessment. The Company will provide the full results of this Phase 2 Metallurgical program once the program is complete. These uncertainties and contingencies can affect actual results and could cause actual results to differ materially from those expressed in any forward-looking statements made by or on the Company's behalf. Although Abitibi has attempted to identify important factors that could cause actual actions, events or results to differ materially from those described in forward-looking information, there may be other factors that cause actions, events or results to differ from those anticipated, estimated or intended. All factors should be considered carefully, and readers should not place undue reliance on Abitibi's forward-looking information. There is no assurance that the Company will be successful in achieving commercial mineral production and the likelihood of success must be considered in light of the stage of operations.
