Electronics Inspector
About the job
- Knowledge of IPC/WHMA-A-620 standards for cable and wire harness assemblies.
- Understanding of electrostatic discharge control and handling of sensitive electronic products.
- Experience using electrical measurement equipment, including digital multimeters and ohmmeters.
- Ability to follow standard operating procedures and work instructions accurately.
- Basic fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Perform visual and electrical inspections to verify product conformity.
- Conduct continuity, bonding, and resistance measurements.
- Use inspection and test equipment such as digital multimeters, ohmmeters, gauges, and measuring tools.
- Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, work instructions, and inspection checklists.
- Identify, document, and manage non-conforming product in accordance with quality procedures.
- Accept, reject, or recommend rework of products based on inspection results.
- Ensure compliance with IPC-A-610, IPC/WHMA-A-620, and electrostatic discharge handling requirements.
- Support high-volume cable manufacturing and low-volume, bespoke, or investigative work.
- Maintain accurate inspection records and support continuous improvement activities.
- Knowledge of IPC-A-610 standards for electronic assemblies.
- Experience with automated test equipment programming and testing.
- Experience using SAP or similar enterprise resource planning systems.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Continuous improvement mindset with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
