Mechanical Engineer

Job Description

At IPS, we are global leaders in developing innovative solutions for the consulting, architecture, engineering, project controls, procurement, construction management, and CQV of technically complex facilities, primarily in the life sciences industry. We are looking for talented Mechanical Engineers to join our dedicated team at our Mumbai, Delhi, and Hyderabad locations.

Position Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver the Deliverables for Mechanical, Clean/Black Utilities, and Piping systems in Life Science facilities.
• Prepare Basis of Design document, Piping material specifications
• Assist and review the utility building layout, boiler house layout, and gas bank layout.
• Assist and review the utility foundation layout and internal/external piping layout with sections.
• Calculate pump head, Lie sizing for water, gases, and Piping MTO.
• Review isometric drawings and nozzle orientation layouts.
• Independently coordinate with other disciplines for inputs/ SQUAD Check documents.
• Review input drawings, such as civil structural pipe rack, civil foundation, RCP, and fire system layouts.
• Review insert plate, puddle flanges, and input drawings.
• Review utility pendent /pipe in pipe layout, laboratory gases piping layout, process drain services layouts, and black and clean utilities generation.
• Distribution P&IDs.
• Assist with clean utility piping.
• Review vendor drawings.
• Coordinate with Process, HVAC, Electrical, Civil/Arch teams for multidiscipline model accuracy.
• Lead the project with assigned designers.

Qualifications & Requirements

• BE/B Tech in Chemical/ Mechanical engineering from a recognized institute with 7+ years’ experience in life sciences design consultancy.
• Proficient in 3D Review with Nevis Freedom.

Preferred Qualifications

• Basic GMP knowledge for GMP facilities.
• Any other course.
• Fire protection system knowledge.
