About the job
- An active and unrestricted New York State Registered Nurse license is required.
- At least six months of home care nursing experience is required.
- Current CPR/BLS certification is required.
- Strong clinical assessment, communication, and documentation skills are required.
- Must be compassionate, dependable, and comfortable working independently in a home care setting.
- Must be able to meet the physical demands of the position, including lifting up to 50 pounds when necessary.
- Provide skilled nursing care and administer prescribed medications and treatments.
- Perform G-tube/PEG care, tracheostomy care, and suctioning as needed.
- Monitor patients’ conditions, recognize changes in health status, and promptly report concerns.
- Provide ventilator support when required and within the nurse’s training and competency.
- Educate patients and caregivers on care plans, treatments, and safety measures.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and complete clinical documentation.
