Requirements
  • Currently enrolled in an accredited Bachelor’s or Master’s program in computer science, software engineering, information technology, or a related field
  • Demonstrated experience (academic projects, coursework, or personal work) with: JavaScript/TypeScript
  • Demonstrated experience (academic projects, coursework, or personal work) with: React (or other modern front-end frameworks)
  • Demonstrated experience (academic projects, coursework, or personal work) with: Node.js (Express or similar)
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA (or equivalent) and completion of at least two years of relevant coursework
  • U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance at the Secret level
Responsibilities
  • Supporting the design, implementation, and testing of modern web-based applications and services for Department of Defense C6ISR initiatives
  • Contributing to full-stack development projects, creating user-friendly interfaces, and helping integrate back end services that enable secure data exchange and decision-support capabilities across a variety of DoD platforms
  • Domestic travel up to 10% of the internship (approximately one week) for site visits, briefings, or collaborative sessions at other DoD locations
Desired Qualifications
  • Familiarity with RESTful API design and consumption
  • Basic understanding of version control systems (Git) and collaborative workflows (GitHub/GitLab)
  • Exposure to database concepts (SQL or NoSQL) and cloud services (AWS GovCloud, Azure Government)
  • Knowledge of secure coding practices and an interest in DoD cyber-security standards
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and willingness to learn new technologies quickly
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills; ability to work in a team
  • Prior internship or project experience in full-stack development is a plus
