Requirements
  • The candidate must be a recent graduate of a leading business or engineering school, or hold a master's degree from a recognized university with a specialization in finance, accounting, or risk management.
  • The candidate must have financial awareness, including knowledge of a bank's balance-sheet structure, regulatory and ESG issues relevant to financial institutions, and capital management.
  • The candidate should seek to strengthen expertise in risk management, prudential and ESG regulation, particularly in banking, insurance, or asset management.
  • The candidate must have good spoken and written English proficiency.
  • The candidate should be pragmatic, rigorous, and proactive, and be able to propose effective, operational solutions to clients.
  • The candidate should be comfortable working in teams and in project mode.
Responsibilities
  • Advise companies on risk-management frameworks covering market risk, credit risk, liquidity and asset-liability management risk, climate risk, stress testing, risk appetite, performance management, ESG frameworks, and regulatory reporting.
  • Define risk-management frameworks, design and implement models, implement and produce regulatory reports, implement new regulations, integrate ESG considerations into traditional risk-management and reporting systems, and analyze risk and regulatory impacts in divestment or acquisition transactions.
  • Work within finance, risk, strategy, and sustainability departments on financial and climate risk management, ESG integration into finance and risk processes, risk and finance department organization, capital management and planning, regulatory statements, and prudential and accounting regulation.
  • Integrate ESG indicators into finance and risk frameworks and support green-taxonomy and Pillar III ESG reporting.
  • Measure the impact of climate risk on asset portfolios and support financial and climate stress tests.
  • Implement capital and liquidity management frameworks, including ICAAP and ILAAP, and adapt liquidity risk-management frameworks using asset-liability management.
  • Formalize risk-appetite frameworks, review and redesign FINREP and COREP reporting methods and processes, and formalize recovery and resolution plans.
  • Redesign permanent-control and risk-management frameworks, automate capital and regulatory-reporting processes, prepare authorization applications for new banks, banking subsidiaries, and banking offers, and analyze and implement new banking regulations such as CRR2 and CRR3.
  • Calculate risk-weighted assets and optimize banks' regulatory ratios.

AI forces companies to rethink hiring practices as job applications surge and entry-level pipelines shrink

Business Insider convened 15 HR and C-suite leaders in Davos to discuss how AI is reshaping hiring and talent pipelines. The roundtable, presented by Indeed, revealed growing concerns about entry-level positions and skills assessment. Deloitte's Elizabeth Faber emphasised maintaining a "human-led, technology-powered" approach whilst carefully navigating reduced junior hiring. TCW's Melissa Stolfi noted her firm has downsized its analyst class but maintains a pyramid structure to preserve apprenticeship culture and future leadership pipelines. Indeed's chief economist Svenja Gudell warned that whilst tech employers now demand five-plus years' experience, this creates future talent shortages if junior hiring continues declining. Salesforce's Nathalie Scardino said her company receives two million applications annually and has shifted focus from years of experience to learning aptitude. Manpower Group's Becky Frankiewicz noted AI can process candidates faster whilst reducing bias, potentially unlocking opportunities beyond traditional qualifications.

Deloitte to hire 50,000 employees in India, eyes Mangaluru expansion

Deloitte plans to hire 50,000 employees in India and is evaluating Mangaluru, Karnataka, as a potential new location, according to South Asia CEO Romal Shetty. The company currently employs 140,000 people in India, representing one in four Deloitte employees globally. Shetty said India hosts 50% of all global capability centres worldwide, with significant growth potential in Tier II and Tier III cities. He proposed creating digital economic zones integrating GCCs, GPU-based data centres, startups and academic institutions to accelerate expansion. The CEO called for streamlining GCC setup processes from six months to two weeks, whilst acknowledging infrastructure constraints around energy and water for data centres. Shetty noted Mangaluru offers advantages including talent availability and real estate, adding the company's presence there is a matter of timing.
