Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Immunology, Virology, Biology, or a related field with 3+/5+ years of experience (industry preferred)
  • Strong theoretical and practical knowledge of immunology and vaccine development (especially influenza and/or SARS-CoV-2)
  • Experience with mammalian cell culture techniques, including isolating, culturing and assaying primary human and murine immune cells
  • Familiarity with Benchling, GraphPad Prism and FlowJo is a plus
  • Experience in performing immunological techniques such as ELISA, ECL, flow cytometry, and cell-based assays such as ELISPOT/ASC
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with effective oral and written communication skills
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment with limited supervision
  • Prior experience in vaccine or adjuvant research is preferred but not required
Responsibilities
  • Conduct laboratory experiments and assays to evaluate vaccine candidates
  • Perform immunological techniques such as ELISA, electrochemiluminescent (ECL) assays, flow cytometry, and cell-based assays to analyze immune responses
  • Assist in the development, optimization, and conduct of immunoassays for antigen characterization and immune response evaluation
  • Collaborate with the research team to design and execute experiments, collect and analyze data, and contribute to scientific presentations
  • Maintain accurate and detailed laboratory records, including experimental protocols, data analysis, and research findings
  • Manage and maintain inventory of laboratory supplies, reagents, and in vivo samples, ensuring an adequate supply and archive for ongoing research activities
  • Ensure compliance with laboratory safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment
