Requirements
  • A minimum of five years of experience managing CNESST claims is required.
  • A minimum of two years of experience managing litigation before the Tribunal administratif du travail in CNESST occupational-injury files is required.
  • A bachelor's degree in human resources, law, industrial relations, or another related field is required.
  • A valid driver's license and access to a car are required for travel to client locations and Tribunal administratif du travail offices.
  • The candidate must have excellent oral and written French.
  • The candidate must have experience in an advisory and client-service role.
  • The candidate must be able to work independently, show initiative, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • The candidate must be adaptable to the internal cultures of different clients.
  • The candidate must have strong problem-solving and prioritization skills.
  • The candidate must have interpersonal skills and the ability to quickly establish credibility with clients.
  • The candidate must demonstrate professionalism and the ability to manage stress.
  • The candidate must have excellent knowledge of the Act respecting industrial accidents and occupational diseases and CNESST internal policies concerning compensation and financing, including indemnification, rehabilitation, recourse, and apportionment.
Responsibilities
  • Manage complete occupational-injury contestation files, primarily before the Tribunal administratif du travail, from opening through closure.
  • Analyze medical, administrative, financial, and labour-relations files to assess issues, risks, and impacts.
  • Develop, recommend, and implement litigation-management strategies to defend clients' interests and reduce costs.
  • Prepare, structure, and document files for conciliation or hearings, including drafting analyses, summaries, and strategic recommendations.
  • Collaborate closely with lawyers and coordinate interventions among CNESST, the DRA, the Tribunal administratif du travail, representatives, and other stakeholders.
  • Complete required follow-ups with relevant authorities and maintain rigorous file management in the case-management software.
  • Participate in conciliation processes and, when necessary, draft written arguments for filing with the Tribunal administratif du travail.
  • Advise clients and internal stakeholders on litigation-management best practices and recommend optimal approaches.
  • Contribute to continuous process improvement and the development and sharing of best practices through training, support, and coaching.
  • Coordinate and supervise administrative activities related to files in collaboration with support staff.
  • Perform other duties related to the function.
Desired Qualifications
  • A certificate in occupational health and safety is an asset.
  • The ability to communicate in English orally and in writing is preferred because of frequent communication with a predominantly English-speaking clientele.
  • Knowledge of Sigma-RH software is an asset.
