Mental Health Clinician Lead
About the job
- A minimum Master's degree and licensure as a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselor, Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor, or Licensed Social Worker is required.
- Two years of lead experience in healthcare, human services, education, or another field serving clients with mental health or substance use disorders is required.
- Provide day-to-day problem-solving support for the workgroup and assist with clinical assignments when necessary.
- Work with the Site Medical Director and Supervisor to develop and maintain staffing schedules.
- Provide clinical mentorship, including facilitating professional development and yearly goals for mental health clinicians in the program.
- Lead clinical discussions and journal reviews, and coordinate clinical services.
- Collaborate with the Site Medical Director to identify growth opportunities and define standards of care through program development and quality improvement.
- Promote and integrate published research and literature, evidence-based practice, and valid and reliable measurement tools.
- Work with the healthcare team to change or adapt practice in accordance with advances in the field.
- Collaborate with program leadership in orienting new staff within the team.
- Leadership experience and/or supervisor experience in the mental health field is preferred.
- Experience in motivational interviewing and stages of change is highly desirable.
