Requirements
  • A Bachelor's degree is required; a degree in Education, Psychology, or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience working with students who have learning disabilities, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder, autism spectrum disorder, or other special education needs, including experience as a credentialed special education teacher, paraprofessional, interventionist, or tutor.
  • Familiarity with individualized education programs, 504 plans, and common accommodations such as extended time, chunked instruction, and multisensory approaches.
  • Ability to design and deliver lesson plans aligned to student goals and accommodations.
  • Strong virtual instruction skills, including comfort with video conferencing, digital whiteboards, and engaging students online.
  • Ability to pass a background check.
  • Reliable computer, internet connection, webcam, and quiet workspace.
Responsibilities
  • Deliver engaging, individualized virtual instruction tailored to each student's goals, accommodations, and learning profile.
  • Create structured lesson plans aligned with student goals, grade-level standards, and the specific accommodations or modifications each student requires.
  • Adapt instruction in real time based on student questions, progress, and engagement.
  • Track student progress and communicate with families and, where applicable, school district partners.

  • An active or previous teaching credential, especially in Special Education.
  • Experience with Orton-Gillingham, Wilson Reading, or structured literacy methodologies.
  • Bilingual Spanish and English ability.
