Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree is required, with Accounting or Finance preferred.
  • Microsoft Office proficiency and advanced Excel skills are required.
  • Programming knowledge in R, Python, or SQL is a plus.
  • Knowledge or experience in back-office settlement is preferred.
  • Knowledge of treasury and financial product characteristics and back-office settlement workflows is preferred.
Responsibilities
  • Complete intraday and end-of-day settlement processes for foreign exchange, money market, interest rate swap, cross-currency swap, commercial paper, and RMB clearing products.
  • Perform Corporate Money Market CBD funds and financial institution time deposit settlements.
  • Complete confirmation matching through post-trade matching processes using vendor applications.
  • Perform daily end-of-day reconciliations to ensure complete and accurate operations.
  • Monitor trade settlements and resolve failing transactions with front business lines and counterparties.
  • Post timely and accurate general ledger accounting entries in the core Treasury banking system.
  • Perform new product testing and support, including drafting user acceptance testing and working with the technical team to resolve issues.
  • Report and escalate settlement issues to supervisors.
  • Assist with projects implementing system or process changes to improve efficiency and process controls.
  • Restore business document files according to the retention policy.
  • Comply with bank procedures, policies, standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and semi-annual risk assessment reports for the Second Line of Defense.
  • Update procedures to reflect current workflows and control-process gaps.
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly reports for Head Office.
  • Prepare documents and timely responses requested by internal or external parties and auditors.
  • Respond promptly to Internal Audit Department requests.
  • Assist with remediation of audit findings.
