About the job
- A minimum high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- A Workers Awareness Certificate is required.
- Previous cleaning experience is required.
- The candidate must be able to work independently and plan and organize job tasks effectively.
- The candidate must have strong customer service skills and a professional, friendly demeanour.
- The candidate must demonstrate integrity and respect confidentiality and privacy.
- The candidate must be able to follow cleaning procedures and safety standards, including safe handling of cleaning products.
- Sweep, mop, and wash floors.
- Dust furniture and surfaces.
- Vacuum carpeting, area rugs, draperies, and upholstered furniture.
- Clean and disinfect bathrooms and fixtures.
- Pick up debris and empty trash containers.
- Wash windows, walls, and ceilings.
- Clean building units while respecting tenants’ space and belongings.
- Communicate courteously with tenants and staff, and respond promptly to cleaning requests or concerns.
- Maintain the confidentiality of tenant information, documents, or property encountered while working in units.
- Report maintenance, safety, or security concerns to the appropriate supervisor.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
