Requirements
  • A Bachelor's degree is required.
  • One to three years of experience as an office manager or administrative assistant is required.
  • Excellent organizational skills, strong communication and writing skills, and the ability to prioritize work with strong attention to detail are required.
  • Demonstrated flexibility in a dynamic work environment is required.
  • Familiarity with Google and Microsoft Office suites, including Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel, is required.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a high level of professional and polished communication are required.
  • The ability to perform light to moderate physical activity and provide physical support on site to student programs occasionally is required.
Responsibilities
  • Serve as the first point of contact for the Academic Resource Center by greeting walk-in traffic and providing customer service.
  • Manage administrative processes and provide administrative support for the Academic Resource Center.
  • Support the administration of student disability accommodations, including directly assisting with the test proctoring service.
  • Staff the physical office front desk and interact directly with students, faculty, staff, and community members.
  • Perform general administrative duties supporting office staff and student programs.
  • Manage office data and various related processes and procedures.
  • Assist with staff appointment scheduling and calendar maintenance.
  • Assist with monitoring and ordering office supplies.
  • Create reports.
  • Regularly assist with the Academic Resource Center's in-house test proctoring operation.
  • Exercise responsibility and independent judgment while working collaboratively with university-wide constituent groups.
  • Maintain professionalism and confidentiality in a fast-paced academic environment.
  • Provide administrative support for six Academic Resource Center staff members within the office suite.
