Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in Business, Operations Management, Insurance, Industrial Engineering, or a related field is required.
  • At least 10 years of experience in process architecture, business process management, operations, or consulting is required, including extensive commercial property insurance experience.
  • Expertise in process design, process mapping, and process re-engineering within a complex, regulated environment is required.

  • Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies is required.
  • A strong understanding of property insurance products, systems, workflows, and regulatory requirements is required.

  • Superior communication and facilitation abilities, including experience leading workshops or cross-functional meetings, are required.

Responsibilities
  • Analyze, design, and implement business processes for key property insurance functions, including underwriting, policy servicing, claims, and loss control.
  • Assess current-state processes and identify opportunities for optimization, standardization, simplification, and automation.
  • Develop detailed process models, workflows, procedures, RACI matrices, and documentation.
  • Partner with business leaders, subject matter experts, project managers, and IT to ensure process design supports strategic goals and system capabilities.
  • Lead process mapping and process redesign workshops with cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Define process metrics and key performance indicators and establish process governance frameworks for ongoing management and continuous improvement.
  • Support the evaluation, selection, and implementation of technology platforms or tools, ensuring alignment with process requirements.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for process escalations related to property operations.
  • Advise on process risk, compliance, and internal control issues to ensure process designs meet regulatory and audit requirements.
  • Provide training, coaching, and guidance to process owners and front-line staff on process changes and best practices.
  • Seek opportunities to improve customer experience and operational efficiency.

Starr Acquires IQUW Group for $1.9B

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Starr Insurance today announced the establishment of Twin Maples Specialty, a division of Starr Specialty Lines Insurance Agency, LLC, to focus on the wholesale brokerage community.
