About the job
- A bachelor's degree in Engineering and 2 years of engineering experience are required.
- Preferred qualifications include a Chemical Engineering background, experience in biotech or biopharma companies, drug substance manufacturing support or technical support experience, statistical or data analysis experience, and technical writing skills.
- Characterize process optimization strategies and troubleshoot operational issues in operations, manufacturing, pilot plant, or capital projects environments.
- Apply engineering principles to design and implement system modifications, experiments, or capital projects.
- Organize, analyze, and present interpretations of results for operational issues or engineering projects of minor scope and complexity.
- Provide solutions to technical problems of moderate scope and complexity.
- Evaluate, select, and apply standard engineering techniques and procedures under general supervision, seeking assistance for unusual problems.
- Perform assignments with clear objectives that require investigation of a limited number of variables, and initiate and complete routine technical tasks.
- Provide equipment or systems troubleshooting expertise in operations and become involved in daily operations when needed to meet schedules or resolve complex problems.
- Audit operational performance and regulatory compliance for equipment items or systems of significant complexity.
- Work with research, manufacturing, maintenance, process development, utilities, facilities, quality assurance, or validation departments to develop requirements and recommendations for system modifications.
- Complete design, engineering, and construction projects under project managers while meeting schedule and budget constraints.
- Work with consultants, architects, and engineering firms to develop standard design documents.
- Obtain and critique quotes for equipment modifications or installations.
- Generate basic project cost estimates and schedules.
