Requirements
  • Knowledge of battery chemistries such as LFP and NMC
  • Experience with battery management systems and EV powertrain
  • Experienced with model-based software design and development tools
  • Proficiency in MATLAB/Simulink and C/C++
  • Field(s) of study: Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
  • Will consider undergrads Junior level or above Pursuing Bachelor’s or master's degree
  • Proof of enrollment in current or into next program (MS, PhD)
Responsibilities
  • Work in a dynamic, cross-functional team to advance our cutting-edge battery management features
  • Contribute to our world-acclaimed battery product for mass-market passenger vehicles and energy products
  • Collect and review laboratory and fleet data to support the development and quality assessment of high-quality battery controls and algorithms to ensure safety and performance of vehicle battery packs in real time
  • Develop/improve advanced robust battery algorithms and models such as state of charge, state of energy, state of health to optimize vehicle performance and customer experience
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as controls, battery cells, embedded software, system engineering, vehicle integration teams to define requirements and perform integration testing
  • Support the Battery Software department with additional duties/tasks as needed.
