  • A completed and verified Bachelor's degree or higher is required before starting.
  • Seven years of experience in consumer-packaged goods strategy, transformation, commercial, or marketing roles, or in strategy consulting serving consumer and retail clients, is required.
  • Five years of experience leading strategy or transformation projects end to end, from problem framing and hypothesis-driven analysis through executive alignment and implementation, is required.
  • Five years of experience building profit-and-loss, business-case, and scenario models and working with consumer, retail, pricing, promotion, or syndicated data is required.

Responsibilities
  • Shape the Consumer Business Group's multi-year strategic roadmap by building the three-year plan and the category, channel, and area strategies beneath it, including revenue, margin, and investment implications.
  • Lead two to three high-priority transformation initiatives end to end, from problem framing and hypothesis-driven analysis through execution, adoption, and measured profit-and-loss impact, across operating-model redesign, portfolio simplification, revenue growth management, ecommerce and retail media, and international go-to-market.
  • Evaluate and build business development opportunities by screening acquisitions, licensing, divestitures, and strategic partnerships against the Consumer Business Group's strategic filters and building business cases that inform investment decisions.
  • Run the Consumer Business Group's strategic planning and performance cadence, including annual operating planning, key performance indicator definition, initiative tracking, and long-range planning with Finance.
  • Prepare executive-ready materials and decision support for the Consumer Business Group leadership team, Group President, Chief Executive Officer, and Board forums, while leading cross-functional project teams and external advisors to deliver.
Desired Qualifications
  • An MBA or equivalent graduate degree from an accredited institution.
  • Experience at a top-tier strategy consulting firm serving the consumer sector, a leading consumer packaged goods brand owner, or a leading retailer, ideally more than one of these.
  • Hands-on experience with one or more growth levers: portfolio and lifecycle management, revenue growth management, ecommerce and retail media, route-to-market, brand strategy, or digital demand generation.
  • Corporate development experience in deal screening, valuation, due diligence, integration, separation, or strategic partnerships, or experience leading a transformation project management office or operating-model change.
  • International or multi-market experience, executive-level communication and facilitation skills, and fluency with artificial-intelligence-enabled analysis and productivity tools.

3M turnaround ahead of schedule with 25% margin target, but PFAS lawsuits persist in Montana and Australia

3M's CEO William Brown reports the company's turnaround is ahead of schedule, with adjusted organic sales growing 5.4% in Q2 and margins tracking above 25% by 2027. On-time delivery improved from the low 80% range to around 90%, whilst product launches increased from 125 three years ago to an expected 350 this year. However, legal challenges persist. A Montana federal judge recently allowed a nationwide PFAS class action involving firefighter gear to proceed. Additionally, the Australian government is seeking more than A$2 billion in damages over PFAS-containing firefighting foam. Institutional interest grew, with hedge fund ownership rising from 63 funds in Q1 to 72 in Q2. Short interest remained low at 1.79% of float.

American Graphics & Signs partners with 3M to offer cooling film that cuts cargo heat by up to 10°F and extends EV range by 23–43 miles

American Graphics & Signs has partnered with 3M to offer 3M™ Cooling Film, a passive-cooling solution designed to reduce heat buildup in commercial fleet vehicles. The film is applied to vehicle roofs and deflects over 85% of solar radiation whilst releasing absorbed heat. A year-long trial across 10 electric delivery vans in Phoenix, Arizona showed the film reduced cargo temperatures by an average of 5.3°F, with reductions up to 10.3°F in August. The cooling effect preserved 4.6 to 8.6 miles of usable electric vehicle range per operating hour, adding roughly 23 to 43 miles during a typical five-hour delivery window. For petrol or diesel vehicles, the film reduces cooling demand and fuel consumption whilst improving driver comfort.

3M launches cooling film that cuts vehicle interior temperatures by up to 10°F

3M has launched 3M™ Cooling Film, a roof-applied heat-management solution for vehicles. The film uses thermal management technology to reflect more than 85% of solar radiation, reducing interior temperatures by up to 10°F. The product targets last-mile delivery fleets, refrigerated trucks and trailers, and passenger rail vehicles. It aims to reduce cooling demand, improve energy efficiency, and protect temperature-sensitive cargo whilst enhancing comfort for drivers and passengers. The film features a durable coating that resists dirt, chemicals, and wear, backed by a five-year warranty. Professional installers can apply it quickly to minimise vehicle downtime.
