About the company

Geordie AI provides a security and governance platform for AI agents used by enterprises. It helps organizations see which agents exist in their environments, what access they have, how they behave, and what risks they create. Its Beam runtime remediation suite shapes and constrains agent behavior in real time without blocking deployment, enabling safe, scalable AI usage. The company differentiates itself by offering real-time, runtime control and comprehensive visibility specifically for AI agents, backed by founders with experience from Darktrace and Snyk, and a focus on enterprise-grade governance rather than generic security tools. Geordie AI aims to help enterprises securely deploy and manage large ecosystems of AI agents by giving them continuous visibility, risk assessment, and live policy enforcement.

What believers are saying

  • May 2026 Series A led by Balderton funded U.S. expansion and hiring.
  • September 2026 Cost Intelligence broadened Geordie into budget governance, not just security.
  • GuidePoint partnership and RSAC 2026 win strengthen enterprise distribution and credibility.

What critics are saying

  • Microsoft, OpenAI, and ServiceNow ship native agent controls that compress Geordie's pricing by 2027.
  • AI agent standards change fast; Geordie's instrumentation must track every new framework.
  • If one platform vendor unifies discovery, control, and spend, Geordie's independent layer becomes redundant.

What makes Geordie AI unique

  • Beam shapes agent behavior in real time without blocking enterprise deployment.
  • Geordie is neutral across cloud, code, endpoint, unlike vendor-tied governance stacks.
  • Founders from Darktrace and Snyk bring behavioral security and developer-security credibility.

Geordie launches Cost Intelligence to link AI agent activity to spend

Geordie has launched Cost Intelligence, a new capability that connects AI agent activity directly to the costs it generates. The platform helps enterprises understand financial risk behind agent operations beyond security concerns. The tool addresses visibility challenges in AI spending by linking costs to specific agents, activities, and workflows rather than just tracking token consumption. One retailer identified $1 million monthly in model-routing waste, whilst a bank saw 50% of its AI budget consumed in a single day by an agent caught in an endless loop. Cost Intelligence offers cross-platform spend aggregation, multi-dimensional breakdowns by team or workflow, cache-utilisation insights, token-efficiency mapping, and cost anomaly detection. The capability is now generally available. Geordie serves Fortune 500 companies and won the 2026 RSAC Innovation Sandbox award.

Geordie launches Cost Intelligence to connect AI spend to the agent work driving it.

Geordie launches Cost Intelligence to connect AI spend to the agent work driving it. New capability gives AI Ops teams a clearer picture of the financial risk behind agent activity NEW YORK, NY, UNITED STATES, September 9, 2026 / EINPresswire.com / - Geordie, the leading platform trusted by enterprises to understand and control agentic risk, today announced Cost Intelligence, which connects agent usage and activity directly to the costs they generate. The new capability expands Geordie's approach to agent risk management beyond security, giving enterprises the financial context needed to govern AI agents holistically. AI spend is typically measured by consumption: which models ran, how many tokens they used, and what they cost. But as usage spreads across tools and token consumption varies from one agent run to the next, those numbers alone cannot explain what is actually driving spend. Cost Intelligence adds the missing context by connecting costs back to the agents, activities, and workflows that generate them. The stakes are already significant: one retailer saw $1 million a month in model-routing waste from tasks being routed to models more expensive than the job required, while a bank had 50% of its monthly AI budget consumed in a single day by an agent stuck in an endless tool loop. "One of our biggest challenges with AI spend has been visibility," said Jacob Sweat, VP of Technology at Wood Partners. "Once Geordie gave us a clear view of what agents are costing us and whether that spend is doing something useful, the conversation shifted from 'how much are we spending?' to 'is this spend worth it?'" Geordie's architecture is designed to sit close to the agent and understand its behavior for security and governance. That same proximity gives Geordie a granular view of the agent's economics, including its activity, token consumption, and model usage. When an AI Ops team sees a change in spend, they can connect the dollar figure back to which agent acted, what it did, and who was responsible, giving teams the financial context needed for comprehensive agent risk management. "Tokens and invoices tell you what you consumed; they do not tell you what work drove that consumption," said Henry Comfort, co-founder and CEO of Geordie. "Cost Intelligence connects spend back to individual agents and their activity. When you can see what an agent costs alongside the work it performed, you have the foundation for understanding agentic ROI, and that is exactly what Cost Intelligence delivers." Cost visibility is only as complete as the instrumentation behind it. Geordie measures spend at the individual-agent level across cloud, code, and endpoint, giving teams visibility across the AI estate rather than only on activity that happens to route through a single gateway or model router. "As agents take on more autonomous work across the enterprise, the risk they create isn't limited to security alone; it's operational, financial, and accountability risk," said Hanah-Marie Darley, co-founder and chief AI officer of Geordie. "Organizations need a shared view of how agents are operating and the full range of risk their behavior creates, not just the security dimension." Key capabilities of Cost Intelligence include: - Cross-platform spend aggregation: AI spend combined into one view across every connected platform, attributed to the agents and work that generated it. - Multi-dimensional breakdown: Drill from an organization-wide total to platform, team, user, model, individual agent, or workflow to understand where spend goes and what work it supports. - Cache-utilization insight: Per-agent caching efficiency tracked as its own metric, flagging which agents are under-caching and what it costs. - Token-efficiency mapping: Spend and volume mapped per agent, so a busy, high-value agent performing critical work is never mistaken for a wasteful one. - Cost anomaly detection: Identifies agents stuck in infinite loops, tasks routed to oversized models, and sessions burning tokens with little productive output. Cost Intelligence is generally available beginning today. Geordie partners with GuidePoint Security following $30M Series A and 50× ARR growth

Geordie AI has partnered with GuidePoint Security to offer AI agent security and governance capabilities to GuidePoint's customers. The collaboration gives security teams access to Geordie's platform, which helps organisations discover AI agents across their environments, monitor their behaviour, and enforce governance policies. Through the partnership, GuidePoint customers can use Beam, Geordie's remediation engine that works within an agent's operational infrastructure to enforce security policies in real time. The move addresses growing enterprise demand for purpose-built tools to secure AI agents as they become more widely deployed across businesses. The partnership follows Geordie's recent $30 million Series A funding led by Balderton Capital and 50× ARR growth in the first half of 2026.

Geordie named Gartner Cool Vendor in AI security, achieves 50× ARR growth

Geordie, an AI agent security platform, has been named a Cool Vendor by Gartner in its 2026 AI Software Security report. The London-based company grew its annual recurring revenue 50 times during the first six months of 2026. Geordie's Beam capability was highlighted for its ability to influence agent behaviour proactively. The technology works through an agent's operational infrastructure, using context engineering and policy enforcement to shape decisions without introducing latency. The company recently raised $30 million in Series A funding led by Balderton Capital. It also won the 2026 RSAC Innovation Sandbox and was named to the CB Insights AI 100 list. Geordie provides security teams with visibility into AI agent operations, addressing limitations in traditional gateway-based security approaches.
