Requirements
  • Hold an active Top Secret Clearance.
  • Successfully complete a Department of Defense SE 630 (Cleared American Guard) course.
  • Have a minimum of three years of military experience as a Military Police Officer, Marine Security Guard, or similar force protection position, including three years of experience as a security watch stander using alarm systems, metal detectors, x-ray devices, and closed-circuit television. An honorable discharge is required if applicable.
  • Have a high school diploma or GED.
  • Meet the required medical and physical fitness standards and be able to deploy to remote locations with all medications for up to one year.
  • Hold an active passport.
  • Read, write, and speak English fluently.
Responsibilities
  • Inspect persons, packages, bags, boxes, crates, vehicles, and other means of introducing material onto the construction site or into secure areas for questionable or prohibited items.
  • Deny the introduction of prohibited materials, including explosives, weapons, electronic devices, and other items specified by the Accrediting Official or designee.
  • Conduct random inspections of site areas to ensure that prohibited materials have not been brought onto the site, and report suspicious materials or incidents to the Site Security Manager or Team Lead.
  • Surveil the perimeter and internal secure areas using government-furnished closed-circuit television systems and other intrusion detection systems.
  • Rove the construction site after hours, as directed by the Site Security Manager, to protect the integrity of Controlled Access Areas and their materials.
