Requirements
  • 5+ years of Payroll and Benefits or related HR experience
  • Experience managing multi-state tax compliance and regulatory requirements
  • Familiar with state and federal regulations including HIPAA, FMLA, COBRA and ERISA
  • Comfortable working in modern Payroll & HRIS systems
  • Proficient in MS Excel and/or Google Suite with ability to build reports and pivot tables
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Proven attention to detail and ability to organize and communicate information effectively
  • Ability to adapt and thrive in a fast paced environment
  • A team player with a positive attitude and willingness to go 'above and beyond' to support key stakeholders
Responsibilities
  • Manage, administer, and audit overall payroll accuracy and compliance
  • Process multi-state semi-monthly & bi-weekly payroll in addition to international payroll
  • Prepare employee communications related to payroll and benefit administration
  • Act as the subject matter expert on the payroll system and manage relationships with internal stakeholders and external payroll vendors
  • Lead the registration process for multiple state tax jurisdiction and ensure all local, state, and federal governmental requirements are met for employer taxes
  • Review and analyze payroll tax procedures and compliance to help mitigate overall risks
  • Create payroll reporting insights to help improve overall pay processes
  • Lead benefit invoice and payment processing for multiple vendors & carriers
  • Audit and reconcile benefit plan enrollments, deductions, and costs
  • Manage 401K administration and plan compliance
  • Manage and improve the end-to-end leave of absence process to ensure smooth employee leave experiences and accurate leave pay & reporting
  • Assist with HRIS reporting and system improvement efforts
  • Lead and contribute to broader People Team initiatives and projects as needed
