Requirements
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to coordinate and lead meetings independently.
  • Ability to work independently and with a team.
  • Ability to comply with all Savannah River Site safety requirements.
  • Knowledge and understanding of procedure writing processes and basic knowledge of computer software required to generate procedures, correspondence, and database changes, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Adobe Pro.
  • Ability to gain knowledge of site administrative documents pertaining to procedure development; knowledge of procedure writing fundamentals is required.
  • Ability to telework if required; telework experience is not required.
  • A high school diploma and at least 5 years of practical experience in writing and/or revising procedures, compliance, procurement, or accounting.
  • An associate’s degree preferably in a Business Administration discipline and at least 3 years of practical experience in writing and/or revising procedures, compliance, procurement, or accounting.
  • A bachelor’s degree preferably in a Business Administration discipline and at least 2 years of practical experience in writing and/or revising procedures, compliance, procurement, or accounting.
  • U.S. citizenship is required.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, and Adobe.
  • Eligibility for a Facility Access Authorization, also referred to as an Employment Authorization, from the U.S. Government’s designated Security Office.
  • Ability to submit to and qualify for varying levels of background investigative requirements, up to a Top Secret or Department of Energy Q clearance.
  • Ability to complete a Financial Disclosure Statement if required.
Responsibilities
  • Support and coordinate the preparation, development, writing, and revision of new or existing administrative procedures.
  • Draft and revise descriptive manuals, desktops, lessons learned, project forms, and other documents.
  • Electronically route and monitor procedures for review and approval.
  • Interface routinely with various managers and customers.
  • Prepare communications and reports as needed.
  • Resolve issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Attend monthly safety meetings.
  • Assist with monitoring Supply Chain Management ancillary programs, including vendor setup, Government Purchase Card, Construction Certified Payroll applications, and Insurance Certificates applications.
  • Support compliance assessments as needed.
  • Work a scheduled 40-hour workweek, excluding Liquid Waste contractor holidays, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break; overtime may be required as necessary.
  • Travel occasionally for meetings, events, site visits, or training, with travel coordinated and approved in accordance with Federal Travel Regulations.
Desired Qualifications
  • Procedure Professionals Association-approved certification or equivalent.
  • Advanced proficiency with Excel, Access, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Proficiency with Adobe Acrobat, data analytic tools, and Visio.
  • Ability to quickly learn other business tools as necessary.
