Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited professional nursing program.
  • Registered Nurse with a current license to practice in Pennsylvania or New Jersey based on work location.
  • A minimum of three years of clinical experience with demonstrated leadership abilities.
  • Sound clinical knowledge in the area to be managed.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability in Human Resources and Financial Resource Management.
  • Current Basic Life Support certification.
  • Current Oncology Nursing Society Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Provider Card.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Must be able to meet the stated physical and sensory requirements, including lifting, carrying, pushing, standing, walking, bending, reaching, handling objects, and normal hearing and vision.
Responsibilities
  • Perform direct administrative functions for the assigned infusion department.
  • Manage daily operations systematically to improve operational effectiveness and ensure quality of services.
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate short- and long-range performance improvement and operational goals and objectives for the department.
  • Implement policies, procedures, rules, regulations, and recommended practices, and ensure that clinical practice standards are met.
  • Analyze and respond to unit-specific performance, outcome, and financial data.
  • Assist in identifying capital and operational budgets.
  • Select, motivate, and retain staff, and initiate a formal recognition plan.
  • Establish and maintain outstanding customer service as a performance expectation for all staff.
  • Develop, evaluate, and adjust current and future staffing needs in collaboration with other Network Infusion Centers and/or the Director of Infusion Services.
  • Collaborate with network Clinical Nurse Managers to initiate actions, new approaches, policies, and programs that facilitate continual improvement of network infusion services.
  • Work collaboratively with administrative staff, nursing, physicians, and other patient team personnel to maintain standards for professional nursing practice.
Desired Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Nursing degree and current Oncology Certification (OCN).
  • Enrollment in a Bachelor of Nursing degree program within 24 months of employment.
