Nebius Group N.V. is a publicly listed Amsterdam-based company that builds full-stack AI infrastructure. Its offerings include large GPU clusters, cloud services tailored for AI, and developer tools, all designed to run AI workloads at a global scale. After spinning out its Russian assets in 2024, Nebius realigned to provide high-capacity AI platforms, operate dedicated data centers, and supply ecosystems of technical support, data, and hardware. Its products work by delivering end-to-end control of the AI value chain, from the physical hardware to software services and cloud-like capabilities, across multiple geographies. Nebius differentiates itself from major traditional cloud providers by offering integrated, owner-operated data centers and a complete stack focused on AI, rather than simply reselling generic cloud resources. The company's goal is to be a practical alternative to large cloud providers, giving customers more control, reliability, and scale for AI workloads.

Michael Burry shorts Oracle and Nebius, calling AI companies 'fat fish' ripe for collapse

Michael Burry has disclosed short positions in Oracle and Nebius, two companies heavily invested in AI infrastructure. The investor famous for predicting the mid-2000s housing bubble announced the trades on Substack, shorting Oracle at approximately $145 and Nebius at around $212 per share. Burry criticised AI companies for accumulating "off-balance sheet liabilities" and suggested they have become bloated targets. Oracle shares have plummeted nearly 60% from their September peak of $350 amid debt concerns. Nebius stock fell 13% to $190 on Thursday, though it has still more than doubled this year. Burry previously profited from bearish Oracle puts in August. He warned that Nebius faces significant execution risk due to high costs and challenging customer commitments in the data centre business.

Meta explores renting excess AI compute as Nebius stock falls 20% despite 120% yearly gain

Nebius Group, a neocloud company, has seen its shares surge over 120% in 2026. However, massive returns remain unlikely due to volatile valuations heavily dependent on future growth assumptions. The company's growth story centres on demand for AI compute power. Yet Meta Platforms is reportedly looking to rent out excess AI compute capacity, suggesting weakening demand from major hyperscalers and increased competition for neocloud providers. Nebius achieved impressive 2025 results, with revenue reaching $530 million, up from $92 million previously. The company swung to a $102 million profit after a $641 million loss in 2024. Despite recent gains, the stock has declined over 20% in the past month. At around $50 billion market capitalisation, Nebius trades at more than 70 times trailing earnings and over 50 times sales, suggesting significant overvaluation.

Nebius validates first Vera Rubin NVL72 rack days after Nvidia's 9.3% stake disclosed

Nebius Group announced it has brought up and is validating its first NVIDIA Vera Rubin NVL72 rack at its Finland data centre, positioning itself among the earliest AI cloud providers to reach that milestone. The announcement comes two days after NVIDIA disclosed a 9.3% passive stake in Nebius. The company said its close co-engineering relationship with NVIDIA shortens the path from first rack to production workloads. Rival CoreWeave completed what it described as the industry's first Vera Rubin NVL72 validation in early June. NVIDIA confirmed Vera Rubin NVL72 entered full production in June 2025, with racks running at CoreWeave, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure, and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure across more than 350 factory sites in 30 countries. Nebius secured a $775 million GPU-backed senior secured debt facility in July.
