Requirements
  • Family Medicine Doctor with three 3-5 years of clinical experience which may include residency in a directly related medical field
  • Valid and unrestricted license issued by the Medical Board of California to practice medicine
  • Board certified or Board Eligible in specified area of medical specialty
  • Current registration issued by the Drug Enforcement Administration allowing the prescription of controlled substances
  • Prior work experience in outpatient health care setting; Federally Qualified Health Center experience is desired
  • EPIC Electronic Health Records experiences is a plus
  • Must maintain Continuing Medical Education as required for certification renewals
  • Bilingual English/Spanish is highly desired
  • Ability to see an average of 18-22 patients per full 8 hour day of clinic
  • Knowledge of legal and ethical standards for the delivery of medical care
  • Knowledge of relevant drugs and non-pharmaceutical patient care aids and ability to prescribe dosages and instruct patients in correct usage
  • Knowledge of community medical diagnostic and patient care services in area of medical expertise
  • Ability to maintain quality, safety, and/or infection control standards
  • Knowledge of current principles, methods, and procedures for the delivery of medical evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment in area of expertise
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Outlook, Word and Excel
  • Ability to mentor, provide advice, and train clinical professionals, PAs/NP's and/or students in area of expertise
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Responsibilities
  • Provides high quality, evidence-based comprehensive outpatient primary care for an assigned patient panel consistent with their specialty training and privileging
  • Conducts routine preventive care, acute and urgent care, and follow up care for the management of chronic health conditions
  • Provides consultation to mid-level practitioners working at the clinic consistent with their medical specialty
  • Participates in quality management activities as assigned by the Medical Director
  • Participates in the direction and development of health care services provided by Marin Community Clinics as a member of the primary health care team
  • Must be able to work a minimum of three 4-hour Saturday shifts per calendar year, after a 90-day training period, with compensation for coverage outlined in offer
  • Required to be available to respond to after-hour calls regarding critical lab results for adult patients for a minimum of 2 weeks per year, after a 90-day training period, with compensation for coverage outlined in offer
  • Other duties as assigned by supervising Medical Director
