Simplify's Take

What believers are saying

  • August 2026 malware scanning and FedRAMP Security Mode unlock security-conscious buyers.
  • April 2026 Workspaces and Expectations improve governance, observability, and enterprise adoption.
  • ExpanDrive's free relaunch expands brand reach and feeds enterprise upsell conversations.

What critics are saying

  • Microsoft, Google, Box, and AWS bundle adjacent file workflows, pressuring Files.com pricing by 2027.
  • ExaVault and ExpanDrive-style commoditization lowers switching costs, eroding differentiation in SMB transfers.
  • A major security incident would kill FedRAMP trust and stall regulated sales immediately.

What makes Files.com unique

  • Files.com combines MFT, Workspaces, and delegated administration inside one cloud platform.
  • March 2026 dedicated IP range and multi-SSO support simplify enterprise network approvals.
  • FedRAMP Class A certification on August 31, 2026 sharpens its regulated-enterprise moat.
