Hive Autonomy retrofits heavy equipment with the Hive Machine Intelligence Equipment to enable autonomous operation or remote control. The Hive Operation Station is a centralized hub where one operator can supervise multiple machines from an office or remote location. The system is brand-agnostic and can connect to machinery from many manufacturers, with 5G connectivity supported by its partners. Its goal is to deploy autonomous and remotely controlled machinery at scale to improve efficiency and safety in Nordic logistics, road maintenance, and industrial work.

Simplify's Take

What believers are saying

  • Hive raised $15 million on July 7, 2026, led by SuperSeed.
  • The round funds U.S. expansion and hiring AI and robotics engineers.
  • 2026 deployments at Yara's Herøya and Norwegian road projects prove commercial traction.

What critics are saying

  • US expansion exposes Hive to fragmented safety approvals and site-by-site procurement delays.
  • Retrofits face OEM integration failures, especially across Toyota, Volvo, and mixed-fleet sites.
  • A serious autonomy accident can trigger regulator bans and customer shutdowns across Norway and the U.S.

What makes HIVE unique

  • Hive retrofits forklifts, wheel loaders, and excavators instead of replacing fleets.
  • Its remote-operation station lets one operator supervise multiple machines from offices.
  • Yara, Toyota Material Handling, and Statens Vegvesen validate machine-agnostic deployments.
